This morning, I am writing a special post for my husband who is a vegan as well. This post will complement my previous one “Where can I find a vegan Winter coat?”.

For a while now my beloved has been looking for a sleeveless jacket;  the kind of jacket that looks stylish and sportive when worn alone but is also very practical in Winter under a bomber or a trench coat. Unfortunately, most of this kind of jacket features flannel or is filled with down and feather.  However, this morning, while I was hitting the street, I spotted a beautiful piece by Lacoste. I checked carefully online whether it was suitable for vegans. And yes it is, as well as two other pieces that you can see below. The clothing label shows:

  • Jacket in ripstop fabric: Polyamide (100%) / Lining: Polyamide (100%) / Filling: Polyester (100%)

This is the first time I’ve heard about ripstop fabrics. They are woven fabrics often made out of nylon, using a special reinforcing technique that makes them resistant to tearing and ripping. They are also water-repellent so these jackets can be worn in all seasons.

Finally, I just want to let you know that the coat and the bomber in my husband’s closet are designed by Paul Smith and are also fully suitable for vegans (two on the right of the photo gallery). So gentlemen, I haven’t forgotten you, there are plenty of beautiful and stylish clothes for you to purchase in vegan and non-vegan brands that are compatible with our creed.
